Major Goals and Accomplishments (in chronological order)

2006 - completion of the plot and altar at its current location on Loop Road

2009 - 2016 Annual Groove Night Cabaret District Heights Municipal Center 1st Fundraiser and contribution to the Bowie State University Dorothy Holland Fund

2010 - February 20, 2010, at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, successful orientation of the first line, Dean Fl. Gregory Jones, Members: Fl. Robyn Dwyer (deceased), Fl. Anthony Bethea, Fl. Kevin Fleming and Fl. Billy Clardy (deceased) “Four Disciples  of Sin”

2010 - Fundraiser done by the 1st line, The Four Disciples of Sin (2010) at Guys and Dolls in Ft. Washington

2010 - Initiated the Kenmore Scholars Mentoring Program, college tours, and athletic games

2011 - The Mighty Sons of Scion (2011) received a Citation from the Governor of Maryland for their Community Service Project

2011 - August 21, 2010 - Second Line Marcellus Brown, Terrance Curtis, Ernest Ford ”Three Mighty Sons of Scion”

2011 - September 1, 2011 Third line- David Thompson and Kevin Reese ”2 The Hard Way”

2016 - Met with and welcomed Dr. Breaux to the university in a lunchtime meeting

2017 - Bulldog I Chapter 50th Anniversary Celebration at Martin’s Crosswinds

2017 - Established Bulldog I Groove Phi Groove Endowed Fund at Bowie State University

2018  - Fourth Line Soloman Bickersteth, Jaun Stewart, and Terrell Fraser “Tricky Trifecta”

2020 - Fifth Line Lawrence Brown, Brandon King, and Andrea Quick Con4lict Resolution

2020 - Developed Partnership with First Baptist Church of Glenarden and SHABACH! Ministries

2021 - Awarded Founders’ Community Service Award

2023 - Established 2nd Plot on BSU Campus

2025  -  7th Line Kwaku Effah

2025 - Awarded Mid-Atlantic Region Chapter of the Year

BD1 Endowment Fund

The Prince George’s County Graduate Chapter of Groove Phi Groove established a fully funded endowed scholarship at Bowie State.
